Can't Open Notepad Windows 7
Notepad opens fine when I run it directly through the start menu, just not when clicking a file. And like I said, if I rename notepad.exe to blabla.exe, I don't have the error when double-click blabla.exe. This post has been flagged and will be reviewed by our staff. Windows 7 Notepad Not Opening
You can check file association by opening Windows Explorer and then clicking Tools | Folder Options. Notepad Won't Open Windows 10 Register now! I have installed updates, but I've did the same on two other Windows 7 computers and they have no problem.
If not, then you might see if running SFC /SCANNOW may help.
