You're correct in assuming that the old shares (permissions) will not work with either of the new computers. In fact when I open the Homegroup from another computer, I see the computer but when I click on it a message comes up saying the computer isn't accessible. The funny thing is on the computer I'm attempting to access I can see the Homegroup and access the files on that Homegroup. All Rights Reserved.
