I had to reboot the Windows 2003 server before I could find the tape library. If not and the changer is also not displayed in device manager you need to check what is wrong. (hardware or driver)The error is caused by the Tape path used for If a library is around as well, there should be a Changer device in devbra output.
Theerror message indicates the reason as reported by the OS.Frequently, a 'No such device or address' message from an exchangercontrol device indicates that a wrong device file is specified for thisdevice.
The devbra -dev output shows just the scsi path of the tape drive, but not of the changer. Find out what is the correct path to you devices and update the configuration.Regards,Sebastian ---Please assign a KUDO to this post, if you find it useful. 0 Kudos Reply The opinions Our consultant is on holiday.Thanks. 0 Kudos Reply Antonio Carlon Valued Contributor [Founder] Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report Inappropriate Is it possible for you to disable secure communications just for a test and check the results?

This can help in such situations. Between the full and the incr backups I am missing a few log files, hence recovery can't start. In the SAN environment the reason for this message can be achanged SCSI address of the device that occurred in SAN. Tape drive scsi path has changed from scsi5:0:4:0 to Tape0:0:4:0, I thought it will be the same with the changer - scsi5:0:4:1 to Changer0:0:4:1, but it is not able to find
