Cannot Open Config File /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf

I would appreciate it if you would also spend a few moments examining the output yourself, instead of other people having to point out the problems to you.cc-ftpd is already running Error: Could not connect to server Last edited by antonvrg; October 9th, 2010 at 12:30 PM. I've seen this explicitly on Fedora Core 4, but the source code bug - if it is a bug - is still in the FC6 Devel tree. The result - on one occasion - was that vsftpd effectively refused ALL new connection attempts, always returning the same OOPS. And I think that user should be added to some group, which can access that files. (not figured how, but i'll try doing this myself at evening ) Adv Reply Note You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17942075/500-oops-cannot-open-config-file-etc-vsftpd-vsftpd-conf

My reasoning is that somehow ( heaven knows how ) vsf_sysutil_statbuf_get_uid() almost always returns zero despite being passed an invalid p_statbuf, and the configuration file is accepted.

The broken code fragment, in my view, reads like this: retval = str_fileread(&config_file_str, p_filename, VSFTP_CONF_FILE_MAX); (int)str_stat(&config_file_str, &p_statbuf); /* Security - die unless the conf file is owned by root */ if Home Forum Today's Posts | FAQ | Calendar | Community Groups | Forum Actions Mark Forums Read | Quick Links View Site Leaders | Unanswered Posts | Forum Rules Articles Marketplace

It says uncomment, so remove the # in the beginning.
