I didn't find anything that helped me solve the problem with sfc in the log though. I was able to locate the CBS log, but unable to open/ read the file by note-pad or any other tool, unable to copy either.... It's advised to use some alternative editor like Notepad++ instead. Not sure how this happened, but somehow, the OS is no longer able to open any kind of executable other than firefox, and internet explorer. this contact form
