If you want a recovery prompt you must download the file to a folder that is specified as a Quick Recovery folder. That's my HDD. If you could be more specific and post some screens, I might be able to pinpoint it, but as of now I'm clueless. Like, what should I be seeing in the cmd boxes while they're all doing their thing? I am running version 3.7.0. They will have made their own value back in 1-3 weeks(New accounts got much better Hat drop rates) if you like selling items.
If you think it through, it runs sandboxed so it shouldn't matter. I didn't get a halo, but one dropped for me anyway. Edited: Do I have to go in and suicide or something to get the items or will the game take care of that next time I log on?
