Review the resource credentials for the job, and then run the job again. Copied both MAPI32.dll and esa.dll to confirm they are both the same version. All rights reserved. The job that is failing wouldn't happen to be created by a policy would it?If it is, delete the job and recreate it from your policy.
Above procedure has resolved my exchange problem and hope it helps you as well. It should be a part of local admins group on the Exchange server itself. 2. I also removed the shadow copy from the full backup but I don't think that had anything to do with the problem. Exchange is on a win 2003 R2 x64 server and Backup Exec is on win svr 2008 ent R2.

So I have tried to install MAPI/CDO, downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1004, but i get the error "MAPI cannot be installed with this version of exchange server" Grateful to advise for the right Delete and recreate was Symantec's solution. To back up or restore System State, administrator privileges are required. Right now I'm testing, so I'm doing a Copy job to avoid interfering with our current backup schedule.

Should i install outlook2010 on the 2008 Server? (installing Exchange Manager 2003 is also not possible on a 2008 Server) ... I then tried to replicate this by using an account that did not have full permissions required for MAPI, and it did not open correctly.
Unfortunately though, one morning the jobs just failed.
