I was motivated to write this post after helping a Gentoo Linux user to get his laptop to produce beeps (see the Gentoo Linux Forums thread ‘i want to beep [solved]‘). The games I've attempted to play so far on either emulators are: Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron and Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron.
