After configuring it I set the STS proxy to localhost:port and I tested with the internal browser and confirmed it was set up correctly. Take a tour to get the most out of Samebug. I think it would have a very good reason of not using STS's proxy for Grails. Are you able to access the mentioned URL manually from a browser (showing you some XML)? I've reinstalled it but it still doesn't work. you could try here If that doesn't work (but I think it should) then you can also try setting Java proxy relates system properties in the Grails preferences page (under "Groovy >> Grails >> Launch"). It would be preferred that Grails can use same proxy within STS if developers are using Grails within STS, such as use it via Grails Command Prompt. Maybe there is something not configured correctly. this contact form There is a specific grails command to configure proxy for grails: See here for info on the command http://grails.org/doc/2.0.x/ref/Comm...set-proxy.html You can execute that command via the grails command prompt in STS I think many other users are getting errors on those links. Since Mylyn does not (perhaps cannot) use ECF filetransfer API (it rather uses the apache httpclient directly), neither the workaround on the wiki page nor the workaround recently introduced for 252002
